Blue Mountains Conservancy - Wildflower Walk at Umatilla Rim Trail

  • OSU Extension 10507 North McAlister Road La Grande, OR, 97850 United States (map)

Join with the Blue Mountains Conservancy and Susan Geer, botanist and ecologist for the US Forest Service, who will lead the hike along the stunning Umatilla Rim Trail.

You will meet at the OSU Extension Service office in La Grande, and then caravan to the trailhead. The caravan will leave at 8:15am sharp!

Wear appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks, sun gear and rainwear (just in case!). You may want to bring camera or notebook. This will be a 3-hour easy hike (though there will be uneven ground in places). Though there is no guarantee of what will be in bloom, you might expect to see flowers such as larkspur, paintbrush, arnica, bluebells, geraniums.
